Organising a formal social learning experience for the workplace is much more than just requiring people to use some social media tools within a face-to-face event or bolted-on to some e-learning content; rather it means

1 – scaffolding the social learning experience
2 – offering as much autonomy as possible
3 – focusing on enabling the social interaction
4 – supporting the experience with content as appropriate
5 – and driving it with a performance outcome in mind

This workshop will help you to plan an online social workshop, and build its framework. It will also provide the opportunity for you to set up and run your own min online social workshop with other participants. If more than 60% of the workshop participants on your mini workshop consider you hould “pass”, the Social Learning Centre will issue you with a Certificate of Achievement. Although this workshop is primarily aimed at those active in workplace learning, it will also be suitable for those in education.

This online workshop will look at how to build an Enterprise Community and the role of the Enterprise Community Manager.

The workshop will look at ways to enhance social learning, or people learning together while working.

The Agenda will include an optional introductory webinar and cover four key areas:

1. Social learning: The lubricant for social business
2. Narrating your work and learning
3. Communities of Practice as bridges between work and learning
4. Value Network Analysis in a nutshell
