Enterprise training will only provide you with the skills you need to do your basic duties, so  you will need to take charge of your own learning to keep your skills up to date. And since this is now possible in non-traditional ways (ie not just by attending a course or workshop), a Professional Learning Portfolio is a useful way to record and reflect on what you have been learning and to evidence your achievements (formal and otherwise) and in doing so demonstrate to a (future) employer your commitment as a continuous, professional learner.

AGENDA

This online workshop takes place over 2 separate weeks. There is no webinar or other synchronous activities.  There will be one assignment in each of the weeks, that will cover the following aspects.

Week 1

• An introduction to learning portfolios
• Learning portfolio tools and platforms – institutional and personal
• The basics of a professional learning portfolio
• Setting up your own professional learning portfolio

Between Week 1 and Week 2 you will work on your Professional Learning Portfolio and be prepared to discuss and share your experiences during Week 2.

Week 2

• Sharing your learning in your portfolio
• Reviewing your achievements
• Evidencing your achievements
